From “The Days of the Blue Bat”, an exhibition of multimedia installation and objects created by Salah Saouli. Titled after “Operation Blue Bat” which saw 14,000 US marines landing on the coast of Beirut in 1958, this deeply political and sociological work revolves around the 1958 “revolution”, “unrest”, or “insurrection” which clearly pointed out the deepening rifts in Lebanese society, and prepared for the upcoming 15 years of civil war.
