Beirut 2052
by Alex Baladi
Realized during a residency in Beirut in May 2017, this illustration by Swiss-Lebanese comic artist Alex Baladi imagines a Beirut that hasn’t lived a war in 2052, based on Alphonse Garabedian’s 1952 panoramic image of the downtown.
It is presented in a playful 22x22cm puzzle format that can be assembled into a three meters long image.
